    Tuesday was a quiet day at the campground. It was significantly cooler and overcast. We and our friends mostly sat around the table playing games, coloring, and drinking copious amounts of coffee and hot tea.

    Elmer’s Fountain

    Elmer's Fountain is an interesting little rest stop along Interstate 90 eastbound near Mullan, Idaho. It's not a typical rest area in that there are no picnic tables or restrooms. Nor is there an informational sign other than the big "Elmer's Fountain" sign and "Gold Creek Mines" stenciled on the side of the mine car.

    Two-Lane Road Trips

    Highway 2 actually starts in Everett, Washington, near Seattle. Last weekend we were over there for a church convention so I suggested to Lyle that we come back across on Highway 2 so we can count that segment as part of our summer road trip adventure.
