Ouachita National Forest

Our recent Sunday afternoon drive took us through the Ouachita National Forest.

We stopped at Queen Wilhelmina State Park Visitor Center so I could get a stamp in my state parks passport book.

I’m guessing the view is spectacular on a clear day. It was cloudy and misty when we were there.

We also wended our way once again through Pine Ridge. Sadly, the old Jot ‘Em Down Store seems to be permanently closed. I’ve heard that the elderly owners’ health doesn’t allow them to maintain it anymore.
I was glad we got to visit it in 2022 which was the last summer it was open.
