31 Days of Ramblin’
My friend, Sheila at Making the Most of Every Day, encouraged me to join the Write 31 Days writing challenge for the month of October. You may have noticed that during the past few weeks I’ve been trying to blog five days a week, taking weekends off. Now that I’m in the groove, I decided to go for the 31-day challenge.
The only problem is participants are supposed to choose a topic to blog about for 31 days. So I considered that. What would be my topic? After much deliberation, I decided to go for it without a topic. Is that cheating? I don’t think so.
You see, I made a conscious decision a few weeks ago to continue as a “lifestyle blogger” without a “niche.” I’m afraid that if I blogged on the same topic every day, that would put me in a niche. We can’t have that, can we?
And so, as usual, I’ll be blogging about my adventures, homemaking, literary pursuits… and whatever else might come up.
I hope you’ll come back each day during the month of October to join me in my rambles. By the end of the month, maybe I can look at my stats to see what types of posts are most popular with my readers… and then perhaps narrow my focus a little more.
Will you help me out by letting me know what posts you enjoy most?
I’d appreciate it.

Thanks so much, Sheila! I think the exercise of writing every day (or at least having something ready to post every day) will be plenty challenge enough this year. Maybe by next year I can do a series on one topic. I’m excited! I appreciate the encouragement.

Yup. I didn’t post at all last week because I was so focused on getting ready for *this* week!

I saw on photos that you can crochet well. Would you like writing a few reasons why we should crochet? That would be great! ๐ It’s nice to see you visiting my blog too! Thank you! ๐

I literally crochet every day, Nance. That’s a great idea for a post! I’m going to jot that down on my writing prompts list. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have an idea for your blog late in the month! Come up to Johnstown to our Quilt and Craft Show on Oct. 24, take lots of pictures, and then blog what you thought about it! Love reading your posts!!!

What a great idea! We might very well do that, depending on our schedule. Thanks for the invitation!

I’m caught up on reading your blog again! My favorites from the 31 day challenge so far are probably Weird Food, Urban Adventure, and Kodaking in the 1930s. =)
