Game Review: IQ Pentagon
Today’s review is for the IQ Pentagon puzzle game from Smart Games.
Disclosure: I received a complimentary game for review from Timberdoodle. All views expressed are my own.
IQ Pentagon

Like most other Smart Games, IQ Pentagon is a single-player puzzle game. It focuses on concentration, problem-solving, and logic. It is recommended for ages 14 and up. Timberdoodle offers it as a thinking-skills elective in the Elite 12th Grade Curriculum Kit.
What’s Included

IQ Pentagon includes a plastic game board with a clear lid, 11 translucent puzzle pieces in different jewel-like colors, and a hardcover game book with 120 challenges and solutions. The self-contained game board and compact size make it a perfect travel game.
How to Play

The objective of IQ Pentagon is to fit all the pieces on the board, starting with a few pieces placed according to the challenge book.
The kicker? The shape of the pieces.
Each piece is an irregular chain of pentagonal double-sided pyramids, so they can be turned and rotated in any number of different ways. That’s where the challenge comes in.
My Thoughts

IQ Pentagon is a fun cognitive challenge. The elegant design and sparkling pieces make it an attractive addition to a living room side table or desktop.
I love to keep fidgets and small single-player games easily accessible as appealing alternatives to phone screens when my family is sitting around casually chit-chatting. IQ Pentagon is a great addition to our collection.
Great for Travel
IQ Smart Games are my favorites for travel because they are so compact. Check out my reviews of:
