10 Cozy Reads for November
Curling up under a fluffy blanket with a hot beverage and a good book is one of my favorite ways to combat the doldrums that tend to set in during this darkest time of the year. Remembering to be thankful and counting my blessings are also definite mood lifters. Maybe that’s why Thanksgiving comes along in November just before the…

The Hardy Boys’ Detective Handbook
I think I was in 4th grade when a classmate introduced me to the mystery genre... I'm not sure what I thought a mystery was. Maybe I thought mystery stories would be scary. I'm not sure.

Little House Expanded Reading List

Early Automobile Travel

With just the slightest prompts from me he would launch into his experiences of long ago. Over several sessions we managed to fill several cassettes. This…

Review: Turing Tumble
What in the world is a Turing Tumble? you might ask. Well, you might. Because I did. Turns out it's a logic game named after Alan Turing. According to Wikipedia he is "widely considered to be the father of theoretical computer science and artificial intelligence."

A Book List for Little Princesses
A friend recently asked me for book recommendations for her little girl who is into anything to do with princesses. I love compiling book lists, particularly by request, and this topic was a fun challenge for me. My friend’s little girl is 5, so my recommendations are for girls between the ages of 4 and 12.
