Write 31 Days Wrap-up
Today wraps up the Write 31 Days challenge. And while I didn’t actually write something new every day, I did manage to post every day throughout the month of October. That was challenge enough for this year. Maybe next year I’ll have more of a theme for October’s challenge.
It’s been a lot of fun. I’ve enjoyed coming up with ideas to ramble about each day. If you’ve followed along the whole month… blessings on you! I really do appreciate each and every one of my readers. I’ll be slowing down a bit now. My goal going forward is to post 3-5 times per week, taking weekends off.
One of my objectives this month was to see what types of post are most popular. It’s kinda hard to tell for sure, because some days I was more active in promoting my posts on social media than others.
The 3 posts that had the most comments were:
- Day 19: Urban Adventure
- Day 5: Stone House Photo Walk
- Day 16: Weird Food
Top 10 posts ranked by view according to Google Analytics:
- Day 6: My Daybook
- Day 11: The White Sisters
- Day 1: 31 Days of Ramblin’
- Day 5: Stone House Photo Walk
- Day 16: Weird Food
- Day 20: Kodaking in the 1930s
- Day 14: Guest Post: Treasure or Trash?
- Day 2: Currently Reading
- Day 15: Coffee Cake Recipe
- Day 7: Little Free Library
So… it’s just kinda all over the place, topic-wise.
My personal favorites this month include:
- Day 12: Colorado River Road
- Day 19: Urban Adventure
- Day 20: Kodaking in the 1930s
- Day 28: Fall Fun Quiz
Another objective for participating in this series was the opportunity to connect with other bloggers. Oh, my goodness… so many signed up for the challenge. There were lots of interesting-sounding topics that I was eager to read. Sadly, many of them dropped out pretty early on. Here are a few of my favorites who finished the challenge:
- Fragrant Ink
- Frog’s Lilypad
- Making the Most of Every Day
- Mary-anderingly Creative
- My Place Beneath the Pines
- Sacred Ground, Sticky Floors
Two other highlights…
- I won a drawing for a “cup of coffee” (i.e. a Starbucks gift card) from Cathy @ Fragrant Ink about the middle of the month. Thank you, Cathy! I’m hoarding it for a dark, chilly morning when I need to be out and about. I will savor it then.
- Sheila @ Making the Most of Every Day styled my boot cuffs on her fashion post yesterday. Don’t they look great?
The Write 31 Days challenge has been a great experience! Thanks for following along!

Sheila @ Making the Most of Every Day
Thanks for the shout out! I’m behind on reading the Write 31s I was following. My place beneath the pines is the only one from your list that I was following but I only got about 10 days in. I’m saving all the emails though and will get to them! (Don’t the cuffs look great?)

She’s going to make her series into an ebook. I will definitely revisit it when my book is ready!
