My Review

I was halfway through reading Winning Over the Baker when I realized it was a follow-up story to The Beekeeper Next Door, which I read last year. Both novels are set in a sweet small town that could only be real in a book… but is oh-so-much-fun to read about.
Tam owns an herb shop, The Gracious Earth, and plans to expand it to include a tea and pastry shop. Great idea! Except the bakery across the street, which she thought was closing, has a handsome new owner who makes the most amazing peach hand pies.
I loved the warmth and friendliness of the southern neighborhood and found the characters to be likable and believable. I also enjoyed how this story expanded on the community introduced in the previous novel. I would recommend it for anyone who enjoys small-town romances and cozy reads.
From the Publisher
Can this single mom have it all without losing her heart?
Just when Tam Rochester’s dreams of expanding her herb shop and being able to support her daughter are finally coming true, Patrick Butler arrives in town. She wasn’t counting on the single dad’s plans for a bakery right across the street or the competition it’ll bring. Tam’s not afraid to fight for her future, but going toe-to-toe with Patrick would be easier if she didn’t adore his kids—and if she could just ignore her growing feelings for the too-talented baker…
