Fort Clatsop

From Wikipedia: “Fort Clatsop was the encampment of the Lewis and Clark Expedition in the Oregon Country near the mouth of the Columbia River during the winter of 1805-1806.”

Our girls were 8 and 11 when we visited there in March 2004. We had been learning about Lewis and Clark in our homeschool studies that year, so it was fun to be able to visit the historical site on the Oregon coast.
