Book Review: Escaping the Wilderness

Today, I’m participating in a book review tour for Escaping the Wilderness, a Christian romantic suspense thriller by Carrie Stuart Parks from Love Inspired Suspense.

My Review

I thoroughly enjoyed the fugitive plot of Escaping the Wilderness. I loved the setting of the Montana mountains, though it wasn’t what you’d call a peaceful retreat by any stretch of the imagination. Instead, Amanda is running for her life, assisted by a man she has just met and isn’t sure she can trust. Wilderness survival skills come into play alongside violent threats from their pursuers. The plot also includes an element of mystery, as Amanda has no idea why she is being chased, much less who is chasing her.

Escaping the Wilderness is a face-paced, exciting, and intriguing story that kept me turning the pages. If you enjoy romantic suspense, don’t miss this one!

About the Author

Carrie Stuart Parks is an internationally known forensic artist and law enforcement instructor, working on major criminal cases nationwide. She trains law enforcement professionals such as the FBI, Secret Service, NCIS, Federal Marshals, RCMP, Texas Rangers, and local and regional officers. She was nominated for Law Enforcement Trainer of the Year offered by the Federal Law Enforcement Academy at Glynco, Georgia. Her career highlights also include winning Woman of the Year for the Spirit of the American Woman and the first Educator of the Year by the Lewis Clark Alumni. Her bestselling mystery/suspense novels have won numerous awards including two Christys and four Carols. She was mentored by her friend Frank Peretti for eight years before launching her fiction writing career. Before that, she wrote and illustrated best-selling art books for North Light Publishers.
