May Reading Recap
Most of my reading for May was “assigned”-in that I ended up with more review books than I intended, and some I enjoyed more than others. I also made the “mistake” of browsing two different libraries and couldn’t resist checking out a stack of books at each.

Book Haul

My book haul for May was pretty light—just a few that I picked up on the “for sale” shelf at the library. However, I’m planning to visit Books by the Pound in Searcy this weekend, so hopefully, June’s haul will be better.
- The World of William Penn by Genevieve Foster
- Blueberries for Sal by Robert McCloskey
- The Song of Roland translated by Glyn Burgess
Summer Challenge

My “assigned” reading schedule for the summer is pretty open, so I’ve decided to take on the Summer Book Bingo challenge from Beautiful Minutiae. It runs from June 1 to August 31.
Completing the challenge means reading 4 or 5 books to get a “bingo.” That seems doable with the books I already have lined up to read this summer. It would be fun to see if I can get a blackout, but that would require more intentional choices. We’ll see how it goes.
Any recommendations for me?
