Vintage Children’s Series Books
Books I enjoyed reading as a child, and collect as an adult. Many of these were already “vintage” when I was reading them! How many do you remember? (Just for fun, click on the titles to be taken to fan websites for each series.)
- Alfred Hitchcock and the Three Investigators
- Anne of Green Gables
- Beany Malone
- Betsy-Tacy
- Bobbsey Twins
- Cherry Ames
- Dana Girls
- Danny Orlis
- Happy Hollisters
- Hardy Boys
- Little House on the Prairie
- Nancy Drew
- Trixie Belden

What a great list. Several of the series are familiar but I only read Nancy Drew, the Anne series and the Little House series. You must have been a mystery book fan!

I read a few of the Anne of Green Gables, Bobbsey Twins, Hardy Boys, and Nancy Drew. I really like the Nancy Drew books! They were probably my favorites out of this list.

You did not have A Wrinkle In Time or The Boxcar Kids….those were some of my favs. I think I read every Boxcar Kid book….wanted to live in a boxcar with a broken teacup.
What a trip down memory lane. Thanks.
My list is up for the week.

I love to read and feel deprived as a child! LOL! I only read the Anne (can’t forget the “e”) books, some Drew and the first Little House. I’ve heard of some of the others like Hardy Boys.
