Friday Freebies

It’s time once again for my weekly (or bi-weekly, as the case may be) list of currently free ebooks that piqued my interest. Maybe you’ll find something here that interests you as well. If you missed my post last Friday it’s because nothing on the free list caught my eye at that time.

But it’s not like I ran out of something to read or anything like that.

Though that literally did happen to me frequently when I was growing up. I had read everything in our house (not counting Dad’s preacher-books, though I even ventured into those once in awhile). Apparently weekly library trips weren’t often enough. I did a lot of re-reading in those days.

This week’s list is short, but from a variety of genres.

Usual Disclosure: These are affiliate links which means I may earn a small commission on your Amazon purchase. Featured titles were all free when I listed them, but please double-check before you download them.

After the Rains

Update: No longer free, but available to borrow on Kindle Unlimited.

After the Rains by Deborah Raney is Book 2 in the Camfield Legacy series. It’s a story of forgiveness and redemption.

“Long ago, Natalie’s mother faced an agonizing choice between the two people she loved most, and the difficult resolution to her predicament affects Natalie throughout her young life–fueling a season of teenage rebellion that results in the death of her best friend… Determined to confront her terrible guilt, Natalie embarks on a journey that will take her thousands of miles from home and straight into the life and heart of a man unlike any she has ever known.”

Mocha Sunrise

Update: No longer free, but available to borrow on Kindle Unlimited.

Mocha Sunrise by Julie Carobini is Book 3 in the Chocolate series and looks like a fun beach read just in time for summer.

“Kind-hearted Livi Daniels has close pals, a beachside apartment, and a new job in radio. She also has a not-so-secret problem at home: a troubled roommate. When Livi is forced to take shelter in a seedy motel for the night, she’s finally had enough.”

The Cult of New Canaan

Update: No longer free, but available to borrow on Kindle Unlimited.

The Cult of New Canaan by R.A. Williams is Book 2 in the Amari Johnston series. The first book, Carbon-14: The Shroud of Turin was on my Friday Freebies list a few weeks ago so if you got it then you may want to read it first. If not, the description says this one can be read as a standalone title.

“…A devout Christian named Ernesto Galliano shares Amari and Kevin’s passion for proving the Shroud is the authentic burial cloth of Christ. As sole heir to his father’s vast fortune, Ernesto is determined to use his inheritance for good. He hires Amari and Kevin to join his own personal A-Team, an organization he formed to right the world’s wrongs, one mission at a time…”

Ready or Not

Update: No longer free, but available to borrow on Kindle Unlimited.

Ready or Not by Chautona Havig is Book 1 in the Aggie’s Inheritance series. What is Aggie’s inheritance? As it turns out, 8 kids! Oh, and by the way, she’s 22. Yeah, that oughta be an entertaining read!

What do you get when you throw together a brand-new college grad, a house full of kids (including two sets of twins!), and a meddling grandmother/mother-in-law you can’t even claim as your own?
One hilariously inspiring Christian story celebrating family, friendships … and a whole lot of mayhem!

That’s it for this week. If you missed my previous lists of free ebooks check out these posts. I’ve updated them to indicate which titles are still free.

Have a great week!

I look forward to reading your comments. Thanks for joining in the conversation! ~Karla
