February Days
Outside my window is way too much snow. Denver got dumped on earlier this week and we accumulated about a foot of snow in 24 hours or so. Snow can be beautiful… but it sure is a mess in the city!
I am thinking I’ll be glad when when winter is over… but I really don’t want to wish away my days, so I’m trying hard to live in the moment. I am happy to notice the sunset is getting later each day, though.
I am thankful, oh, so thankful, for a wonderfully supportive husband. Not to mention how handy he is.
I am going to take a two-week vacation next month and spend much of it decluttering and deep-cleaning. This is what happens when my vacation time builds up faster than Lyle’s. Maybe that’s a good thing.

I am learning to trust…
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him.
How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er.
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus.
Oh, for grace to trust Him more.
In my garden not much is going on right now. I’ve been thinking of using my EarthBoxes this coming spring for a “salad garden” to keep fresh lettuce, herbs, radishes and things like that going in cycles. Rebecca likes to tend the garden so we’ll see if we can accomplish something like that between the two of us.
I am wearing an extra-long Silverwood sweatshirt over my clothes for extra warmth. (It was a gift from Laura the summer she worked there.)
In my kitchen… cup after cup of hot coffee. Cold winter days just seem to call for that.
One of my favorite things is my Keurig coffee maker. I enjoy being able to change up flavors or blends whenever the mood strikes, plus every cup is fresh!
A favorite quote for today…

Hi, Karla! We have had a very mild winter here. We’re a little disappointed in that since my husband works for the state and snow brings in overtime pay. I’m hoping we’ll get at least another good dumping of snow this year. I miss being able to really garden. We have horrible “gumbo” type soil, nothing grows in it. We’ve tried container gardening with very little outcome. My husband is thinking about hydroponics for this year, hopefully we’ll get more than a couple of cucumbers. I hope you have a great weekend. Thanks for sharing with Thankful Thursdays.
